The Carl & Norma Miller Children's Center

The Carl & Norma Miller Children’s Center is nationally accredited by the National Academy for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and participates in the military assistance fee program and the Maryland Child Care Scholarship Program, purchase of care state subsidy program. The Children's Center has achieved the highest-Level 5, in the Maryland EXCELS Quality rating program. It is host to a Frederick County Head Start Program within the facility.

It provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, year-round; and provide care for children ages 5–10 during the summer months.

As part of a Learning College, the Center welcomes students into the classroom. Students observe teachers and children as part of their course requirements. The Center partners with departments at the college, such as the psychology department, the work study program and the education department to name a few.

The Center is a great benefit to FCC student parents persisting with their academic goals and to the staff and faculty working at the College by allowing for affordable childcare and peace of mind while their child is close by on campus.
